The Spare Parts debut single Morning Light is a ***Certified Banger. This is a track with song of the summer potential. A classic upbeat bluesy groove, Bill Dyan’s blaring harmonica and guitar coupled with Phillip Vonesh’s hopeful, honest and witty lyricism that delves into the trials and tribulations of hook-up culture. It’s all held together by the stellar rhythm section of the Tower of Power, bassist Gavin Quinn and drummer Alex Bullen.
Morning Light is the lead single off of the up coming album Infatuation which will be released by The Spare Parts in June, 2021. The album was recorded with Dale Morningstar at the Gas-Station on Toronto Island and Mastered by Grammy Award winning engineer Joao Thire.
lyrics
Morning Light
Late at night, that's alright
These house lights, shine so bright
It's last call, for alcohol
it's last call, for booty calls
I - I know know
I - I know know
That I'll be
In your mind, and out of sight
The one you call late at night
I don't mind, that's alright
looking for a lover to treat me right
In your mind and out of sight
the one you call, late at night
I don't mind, it's alright
and I'll be gone, by the morning light
Whiskey breath, and cigarettes
reckless sex, no regrets
call my name, I'm in your brain
walk of shame, I'm glad I came
I - I know know
I - I know know
That I'll be
In your mind, and out of sight
The one you call late at night
I don't mind, that's alright
looking for a lover to treat me right
In your mind and out of sight
the one you call, late at night
I don't mind, it's alright
and I'll be gone, by the morning light

the one you call, late at night
I don't mind, it's alright
and I'll be gone, by the morning light

Toronto band The Spare Parts were originally the backing band for frontman Phillip Vonesh. Over the years the writing became
more collaborative. The sincerity and emotion of Vonesh’s lyrics and vocals are the perfect contrast to guitarist Bill Dyan’s heavy hooks and classic style. The glue of the band are bassist Gavin Quinn and Drummer Alex Bullen who keep things locked down....more
